Animal abuse is hurting starving or neglecting your pet or someone else’s pet. Animal abuseis all over the world and humane societies all over the country are saving thousands of animals’ everyday. The crime of inflicting physical pain, suffering or death on an animal, usually a tame one, beyond necessity for normal discipline. It can include neglect that is so monstrous (without holding food and water) that the animal has suffered, died or been put in imminent danger of death. Cruelty to animals sometimes refers to the infliction of suffering or harm to animals, other than humans, for purposes other than self-defense. Others broaden its use to include harm for specific gain such as killing animals for food or fur use. Opposing viewpoints are held by jurisdictions throughout the world. Animal cruelty encompasses a range of behaviors harmful to animals, from neglect to malicious killing. Most cruelty investigated by humane officers is unintentional neglect that can be resolved through education. Intentional cruelty, or abuse, is knowingly depriving an animal of food, water, shelter, socialization, or veterinary care or maliciously torturing, maiming, mutilating, or killing an animal.
Trading of Animal Meat: Most people relate to animals as their source of food. People associated with the trading of animals for human consumption, treat animals most cruelly. Animals in the rearing farms live in very poor conditions. Traders are least bothered, as they are more concerned with their profits. They compromise on the quality of living conditions of the animals, in order to provide meat to the consumers at the cheapest price. Animals as Entertainment: Animals are used in several films. Animal abuse during the production of films is common all over the world, including some big budget Hollywood movies. Many a time it has been alleged that the kind of treatment given to animals during the process of film making, is objectionable. Serious harm has been caused to animals including death of some animals. Several snuff films are available on the internet, where videos of cruel treatments towards animals are shown for the purpose of fun. Purposeful Abuse of Animals: The activities related to intentional abuse have deep connections to some severe psychological problems. Surveys conducted on psychiatric patients reveal that people with psychopathic personality disorders have a tendency to torture pets and other small animals. This type of behavior is termed as zoo sadism and such people may show similar aggression towards humans as well. It is often found that children and adolescents who show cruelty towards their pet dogs and cats have actually undergone some abusive behavior themselves or have witnessed some forms of abuse. Lots of people take their anger out on dogs and they think its ok but its not people should stop because it wont help or solve anything. Dogs are loving and loyal in my opinion. Also I believe that there is no such thing as a bad dog. Only bad owners.
